My dad was my hero in so many ways. He was highly regarded and respected for being so calm, kind, and inspirational. He was a boxing fan (above photo is him as a Marine Sergeant in 1958 in Japan) and loved that I started boxing before he passed five years ago. I know he would appreciate that USA Boxing CT is striving to help young people reach their dreams. A little about him: Ralph proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, was the A/V Director at Trumbull High School for nearly 30 years and was married to my mom for over 50 years. He also coached various CT high school teams and volunteered his time with the Special Olympics. He liked to cheer for the Red Sox and Green Bay Packers, work in his yard, take occasional trips to the casino and spend time with his grandchildren. Ralph was a humble, patient, and smart man that worked several jobs most of his life…he smiled a lot, and lived by his motto, “Make every day your masterpiece”.
