Membership Registration Information

·        All athletes, non-athletes and clubs must be registered in order to participate in any USA Boxing sponsored events.  

·        The membership term follows the calendar year (Jan-Dec) and expires December 31st of that year.  Renewals begin November 1st of any given year.   

·        All registrations are now completed on-line.

*Please do not send packages that need to be signed for- this will significantly delay processing!
**Incomplete application packages will be returned.
*** There is a 72 hour minimum for registrations to be processed.

Registration Procedure

1.      Complete on-line application; fees are paid by credit, debit or pre-paid credit/debit cards. Only print registration receipt when registration is complete.

2.      Submit entire receipt and other appropriate paperwork to the registration chairperson.

3.      Passbooks will be returned to the boxer or the coach when appropriate.

4.      Passbooks must be presented at every USA Boxing sponsored event.
 
** 2016 ALL PASSBOOKS MUST HAVE MEMBERSHIP CARD STAPLED IN BOOK BEGINNING 1/1/16, THIS IS YOUR PROOF OF REGISTRATION **
 
EFFECTIVE 6/1/2016, ALL ATHLETES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE PROOF OF PHYSICAL (SEE FORMS IN THE ABOVE TAB) STAPLED IN THEIR USAB PASSBOOK OR ONE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BOX IN A USAB SANCTIONED EVENT, NO EXCEPTIONS.

2017 Fees

·        Athlete:              $50 + $3 processing fee

 

·        Non-Athlete:      $85 + $3 processing fee /$35 background check fee every 2 years
**As of 2017 background  check is run annually - non athletes pay for it every 2 years**

 

·        Club:                   $200 + $3 processing fee

 

·        Lost Passbook:   $20

    • Payable by cash or check
    • Made out to: USA Boxing CT, Inc.

 ** LOST PASSBOOKS REQUIRE ANOTHER COPY OF YOUR REGISTRATION PAPERWORK, 2 PASSPORT SIZE PHOTOS, AND A COPY OF EITHER YOUR BIRTH CERTFICATE OR PASSPORT PAGE.  YOU WILL ALSO NEED A NEW COPY OF YOUR PHYSICAL FOR THE CURRENT YEAR. **



Types of Memberships

New Boxer

Boxers who have not registered with USA Boxing will need the following:

  • Completed on-line application receipt
  • Two (2) Passport sized photos
  • Copy of birth certificate or passport

Renewing Boxer

Boxers that have registered and have an athlete passbook will need the following:

  • Completed on-line application receipt
  • Athlete passbook

Female Boxer

In addition to the requirements above, female boxers must complete and present a female athlete acknowledgement form.  A new form with current information must be presented to the weigh mistress at every competition. A parent's/guardian's signature is required if female athlete is under 18 years old

Master Boxer

In addition to the requirements above, boxers 35 years and older must have an annual medical exam and be declared "fit to box" via submission of an examination form, which will be attached to the boxer's passbook and must be presented prior to every bout. The physician's signature is also required in the Master Boxer's yellow passbook.

Non-Athletes

Any non-athlete will need the following:

  • Completed on-line application receipt with background screening (if necessary)*
  • Proof of current coaches or officials level 1 clinic participation. 
  • Clinics are valid for 24 months from date taken and are mandatory for participation of any coach/second or official in a USA Boxing Sponsored event.

Clubs

All clubs must register to promote in USA Boxing sanctioned events and be active in LBC governance.

 

Proof of insurance is required and should be sent with the registration receipt to the registration chairperson.
